A thief was stopped in his tracks during the early hours of this morning in Parsons Hill by Fidelity ADT officers after the local CIC control room received a WhatsApp from a resident in Tucker Street reporting a suspect on site busy breaking in.
A Fidelity response officers were dispatched to the scene and, on arrival, found a storeroom door forced open. The officers continued to check the premises and found the suspect hiding in a bush and arrested him. Mount Road SAPS was notified and arrived on site.
The suspect was handed over and taken away to a nearby police station.
