Just after 2am whilst on routine patrol a KZNVIP Officer noticed three suspicious males carrying large bags which seemed heavy and at that part of the hour. As additional support vehicles were called in the males noticed the approaching KZNVIP Vehicle and began to flee.
A foot chase ensued and one African male suspect was apprehended whilst two other managed to evade arrest, in the large bags multiple house hold grocery items (Meat, Electrical Appliances, Non perishable Goods Sealed) and house break in implements were found. (Crowbar)
Once the alleged suspect was questioned he stated that he received it from a friend’s home but could not provide further details for verification purposes, these goods were suspected to be stolen and Saps were called in.
Unfortunately as per saps officials who arrived due to no complainant no case cannot be opened and the suspect was released, all the items the male had in his possession was taken away by SAPS.
