The driver of a silver Nissan Qashqai abandoned his vehicle & firearm and fled the scene of a collision in Waterloo – KZN yesterday afternoon (Friday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene and discovered a white Hyundai i20 & a silver Nissan Qashqai involved in the collision. The Nissan Qashqai was on its roof. A 9mm pistol was recovered in the vehicle. The driver later returned and was handed over to Police for further investigation.
Circumstances leading up to the collision were not immediately known.
