A white Hyundai i10 with registration BP96FZ-ZN belonging to 58 year old Papiah Gregory was recovered by Police in Amouti – KZN a short while ago (Thursday).
Papiah is a resident of Bluegrove Place in Grove End – KZN. He left his home in his vehicle on Sunday (25/08/2024) and cannot be located. He messaged his son on Sunday afternoon informing him that he attended a braai and would return the following day. His family received WhatsApp messages from his number until Tuesday. According to his daughter, the context of the messages were unusual and unlike the way Gregory usually chats. His cellphone was thereafter switched off.
On Tuesday afternoon his cellphone was switch on but was answered by a female. She stated that she is from Empangeni – KZN. The woman ended the call and the cellphone was once again switched off. Gregory’s car was located abandoned in Amouti – KZN by Police a short while ago. The search for him is ongoing.
