At approximately 19:00 an alert was sent out by the chairman of the Durban North Umhlanga Community Policing Forum, for a missing person.
A female aged in her fifties, was last seen at 15:30 leaving the Sunningdale area, having dropped a colleague off and was destined to return to her place of residence in the Glen Anil area.
She had not returned home and her cellphone was unreachable.
Information was ascertained by our Intervention Unit and with the assistance of the National Vehicle Intelligence
Cloud (NAVIC), automatic number plate recognition network, a search grid was formulated.
Further information was received which lead the team to the Inanda area where the female was discovered seated in her motor vehicle. She was assessed on scene by Paramedics and taken to hospital for further definitive care.
It is believed she suffered a medical incident which affected her state of mind.
