A man was seriously injured after he was repeatedly stabbed during a home invasion in Cottonlands – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 23:22. On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered one of the victims bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds to his back and buttocks.
It was established that the two friends aged 23 and 24 were asleep when they heard a knock on the door. They remained silent but the suspects forced a window open and instructed the males at gunpoint to allow them entry. Two of the robbers were armed with knives. They began stabbing and assaulting the victims once entry was gained into the home. Two Nokia, a Samsung and a Vivo cellphone were stolen.
A shot was fired as the trio fled the residence.
