Members of SAPS Crime Prevention, together with Gauteng Traffic Wardens and Gauteng Traffic Police in Atteridgeville, recovered a Toyota Fortuner that was hijacked in Brooklyn, leading to the arrest of one suspect.
Additionally, while conducting crime prevention duties, they received a tip-off about a VW Polo committing robberies behind Atteridgeville Plaza.
The team responded urgently, and upon arrival, the VW Polo attempted to flee the scene. A chase ensued, and the vehicle was stopped.
Two firearms were discovered, along with an undisclosed amount of stolen goods inside the vehicle.
