The members of Mothibistad SAPS A-relief operationalised information regarding a shebeen operating at a bogus Mozambican voting station and arrested a 37-year-old foreign national.
On Wednesday, 09 October 2024, in Mapoteng, Mothibistad, the SAPS members pounced on the unsuspecting Mozambican National, who was allegedly operating a shebeen from the bogus Mozambican voting station and immediately shut it down.
Police confiscated a substantial amount of alcohol and a speed point machine.
The Mothibistad Crime Prevention unit assisted and confiscated a freezer, and the owner was issued with R1000-00 fine.
The Department of Home Affairs Immigration Services detained the undocumented Mozambican National under Sec 49 for contravention of the Immigration Act. The investigation continues.
