The Gauteng Department of Community Safety Public Transport Inspectorate unit is responsible for enforcing compliance with the National Land Transport and National Road Traffic Acts by both public passenger and freight transport vehicles.
This is done through;
• Driver and vehicle fitness, operating license, and routes compliance and,
• Weighing of vehicles for overload control.
