Child attacked by Saint Bernard dog in Drift

A 7-year-old boy was attacked by a Saint Bernard in Drift – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were attending to a collision with a fatality on Vincent Dickenson Road in Canelands – KZN when they heard a group of women screaming for assistance.

Reaction Officers proceeded to their location and found a boy bleeding from penetrating wounds to his right leg.

His family informed RUSA Members that the boy was attacked by the dog on the road.

The canine fled prior to the arrival of Officers.

The child was treated for his injuries before being transported privately to a medical facility.
