Two men were seen interfering with a corpse in Oaklands – KZN.
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre received an anonymous call from a member of the public. The caller informed the Controller On Duty that two men were seen tampering with the body of a man that was dumped in a ground behind the Oaklands Flats.
Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and on arrival, searched the vicinity and located the body of a male in a stream. His feet were bound with a rope.
He sustained blunt force trauma to his face, a head injury and a fractured right arm. Rigor Mortis was present. A brown sack was found next to the body.
It is believed that the two males seen tampering with the body may have intended to relocate the cadaver, but this could not be confirmed by Reaction Officers.
The deceased has not been identified.
