The Deputy Minister of Police, Ms Polly Boshielo joined by the Acting Deputy National Commissioner, Support Services, Lieutenant General Nkhuoa and the Acting Provincial Commissioner of the North West, Maj Gen Asaneng, further proceeded on a walkabout, engaging with members of the community in the Brits CBD and with commuters at the Taxi Rank.
Safer Festive Season Operations include a variety of interventions such as roadblocks, search-and-seizure operations, and other crime-prevention measures. The focus is to deter criminal activities, enforce compliance with the law, and promote safety on the roads as the South African Police Service (SAPS) strives to ensure the well-being
and safety of all residents and tourists in our country, during the festive season and beyond.
With the campaign running through to the end of January 2025, the campaign aims to mobilise maximum resources with the view of stamping the authority of the State to ensure that communities are and feel safe and secure.
