The JMPD TRU officers received a lookout for a vehicle with false number plates, which was allegedly used in committing crimes, specifically stealing expensive vehicles in the City of Johannesburg.
The officers searched for the vehicle with the assistance of Vumacam. They spotted the vehicle at the intersection of Olifant and John McKenzie Street in Emmarentia, with two male occupants inside.
The officers approached the vehicle, conducted a search of both the suspects and the vehicle, and recovered tools typically used to break into cars. The suspects were arrested and detained at Parkview SAPS, while the vehicle was booked into the Aeroton SAPS Pound.
