A Black Mamba measuring approximately 2.6 meters was captured on Prickle Pear Road in Waterloo – KZN.
The owner of a salon operating out of a shipping container contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre for assistance after they spotted the reptile.
RUSA Area Managers Nkosinathi Ndaba and Kevin Valoo as well as Reaction Officer Philani Mkhulisi responded to the call and on arrival, captured the reptile under the shipping container.
The highly venomous snake was handed over to a reptile park.
