A 34 year old burglary suspect was arrested by Reaction Officers on Bridgeford Drive in Mountview – KZN.
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre received a tip off of a house break-in in progress. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and arrived on scene at 23:38. Officers approached the residence and apprehended one suspect as he was exiting.
He was found in possession of a bag containing goods stolen from the house. RUSA Members penetrated the residence and confirmed that there were no accomplices concealing themselves in the home.
Upon investigation, Reaction Officers established that the lone suspect utilised force to gain entry into the home. The elderly homeowner resides alone and has a history of Mental Health Issues. She was in her bedroom at the time and unable to call for assistance.
