A 30-year-old man was shot in the neck along the R102 in Verulam – KZN.
A passerby contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre after witnessing the occupants of a white Toyota Hilux double cab opening fire on the male.
Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and on arrival located the injured male in a dense bush. He sustained a gunshot wound to his neck.
The man informed Reaction Officers that he was a drug peddler and fled with the last consignment of Heroine intended for sale.
Henchmen employed the Drug Dealer spotted him along the R102 and opened fire on him this afternoon.
