An E-Hailing driver was robbed after being summoned to Cornubia – KZN to uplift a passenger today (Monday).
Residents contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre at approximately 13:38 requesting assistance for the victim. On arrival, the female informed Reaction Officers that she was summoned to uplift a passenger. Three (3) men confronted her when she reached the destination.
One (1) of the suspects produced a firearm and demanded her valuables. The female initially resisted, but surrendered after the robbers threatened to kidnap her. They stole both her cellphones and cash before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.
The victim was not injured.
