Five speeding motorists behind bars in the Wadeville area

the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) High Speed Unit Officers, handcuffed five male motorists, between the ages 30 and 40 years, for exceeding the speed limit of 60km/h in the Wadeville area.

Officers set up a Pro-Lazer camera on Black Reef Road, monitoring compliance and adherence to the speed limit of 60km/h for that roadway. Officers stopped five motor vehicles, a white Ford Ranger bakkie, a white Nissan Np200 bakkie, white Toyota Quantum, a white VW Polo Tsi and a white Toyota Corolla, who all failed to comply with the designated speed limit travelling at speed limits of 97km/h, 103km/h and 106km/h.

All five law breakers detained at Elsburg Police Station and are expected to appear at the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.

Motorist are advised to adhere to speed limits, as failure to comply, will result in them being held accountable for their actions and will face the full might of the Law.
