A Foreign National from the Niassa Province in Mozambique was arrested by Reaction Officers after he attempted to gain entry into a Law Firm in Verulam – KZN.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was informed of the business break-in in progress on Russom Street at approx. 17:02 (Thursday). The caller provided detailed description of the suspects attempting to gain forced entry into the premises that was closed for the holidays.
Reaction Officers surrounded the area and a foot chase ensued. One suspect was captured 700 meters from the scene and produced a knife when Officers approached.
The suspect was released when the owner of the premises found that no forced entry was gained and declined to register a criminal case.
