Gauteng Traffic Police and Gauteng Traffic Wardens responded to information from a Bolt driver who reported being robbed at gunpoint by three males on Mapela Berg Street.
The incident occurred when the driver arrived at the location, waiting for his customers, only to be ambushed and robbed. After the robbery, the suspects fled into nearby flats.
Through tracing and tracking, the officers apprehended one suspect identified by the complainant as the individual who had stolen his iPhone during the incident. The other two suspects are still at large, and law enforcement agencies are actively working to bring them to justice.
The apprehended suspect has been charged with robbery and possession of stolen property.
