The Gauteng Department of Community Safety (GDCS) has noted with concern, Gauteng Traffic Wardens (GTWs) trainees and Gauteng Traffic Police (GTP) vacancies circulating on social media as well as on illegitimate application websites. The department urges the public to disregard any information received from unofficial sources through digital media platforms or word-of-mouth, as these may contain inaccurate or misleading details.
Members of the public must be cautious of websites that claim to offer opportunities for positions within the Department but are not authorised or affiliated with the Department. Furthermore, submitting applications through
these bogus sites may result in compromised personal information and safety.
“It is important to note that, official vacancies of the Department are advertised exclusively through the official Department of Public Service and
Administration circular (DPSA) and the Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) professional job centre platform. Vacancies that do not appear on these official platforms must be treated as suspicious and potentially fraudulent,” said the Gauteng Traffic Police spokesperson, Mrs Sello Maremane.
