Female opens fire on robbery suspects in Mhlasini

A female fired shots at robbery suspects who attacked her and her boyfriend in Mhlasini – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene.

On arrival, Reaction Officers found a 33-year-old male bleeding from an injury to his head. He explained that he and his girlfriend were confronted by three suspects outside their home.

The robbers were armed with firearms and knives. They began attacking the male victim and robbed him of his cellphone and shoes. The female produced a firearm and fired shots. The suspects thereafter fled in an unknown direction.

The victim further informed Reaction Officers that his girlfriend also fled the scene with the firearm due to her being afraid. He alleged that the weapon was licensed, but this could not be immediately confirmed.

RUSA Members conducted an extensive search for the suspects, but no arrests were made.
