North West traffic authorities closely monitoring flooded roads

The North West Community Safety and Transport Management Chief Director for Transport Regulations, Mr Molefi Morule says the law enforcement is monitoring all national, provincial and local roads to assist motorists where roads are flooded or submerged.

He says the Provincial Traffic Authorities have measures in place to monitor the flooded roads.

“Since the beginning of these torrential rains, we have experienced interuptions in the flow of traffic in most if not all national and Provincial roads. However, we are constantly monitoring the situation and diverting motorists to alternative routes where necessary,” said Mr Morule.
