During a High Visibility Operation conducted by multiple law enforcement agencies, including Johannesburg Central SAPS, Gauteng Traffic Police SLEU, Gauteng Traffic Wardens SLEU, Gauteng Traffic Police Saturation Unit, Gauteng Traffic Wardens, JMPD, Pikitup, and the Focus Team JHB (Private Security), officers intercepted a suspicious minibus taxi in the Fordsburg area.
As law enforcement approached, the occupants attempted to flee but were swiftly apprehended. Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered six bags filled with suspected stolen copper. All four suspects were arrested on the scene.
Additionally, during the operation, officers recovered several abandoned abandoned items believed to be stolen, including: Demo cellphones, PlayStation joysticks, Fujifilm camera, Lithium batteries and watches.
