Attempted Home Invasion Suspect Apprehended by members of KZNVIP In Whipclay, Phoenix

At approximately 15h00, KZN VIP Control Centre received information about an attempted home invasion at a home in Whipclay Walk, Clayfield The incident involved an indian male suspect who managed to gain entry into a home.

Upon arrival, KZN VIP Response Officers made immediate contact with the homeowner, who reported that the suspect, described as an Indian male, had entered the yard and then managed to gain entry into the home, when the homeowner noticed the suspect they then began screaming for assistance causing the suspect to flee.

The homeowner provided a detailed description of the suspect to the armed response officers, Based on the information received KZN VIP Response Officers conducted a thorough search of the surrounding area, including Whipclay and nearby roads.

The suspect was located at the corner of Rockford and Clayfield and was successfully Apprehended By KZNVIP Officers.

The homeowner was contacted and informed about the suspect’s location. He arrived at the scene and positively identified the individual.

Saps arrived on scene and the suspect had to be released as no crime was committed as per attending officers.
