A white VW Polo stolen from Aloe Drive in Parkgate – KZN was recovered in Ntuzuma – KZN following a high speed pursuit during the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were on patrol in Ottawa – KZN at approximately 03:52 when they received information that the vehicle had been stolen from a property nearly a kilometre away.
Reaction Officers thereafter noticed two (2) VW Polos travelling at a high rate of speed in their direction. One (1) of the cars was confirmed to be stolen from Aloe Drive. A high speed pursuit ensued through Phoenix – KZN. The suspects drove erratically through several neighbourhoods which resulted in RUSA Members losing sight of the vehicle as it entered KwaMashu – KZN. The tracking unit was activated and the car was recovered abandoned by the tracking company in Ntuzuma – KZN.
Reaction Officers continued their search for the second vehicle and the suspects, but no further recoveries or arrests were made.
