A 2.5 meter Black Mamba was captured in a home in Ogunjini – KZN a short while ago (Monday).
The homeowner contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre at approximately 09:48 requested assistance after they spotted a large snake in his wardrobe. The caller was unable to identify the reptile and fled the home after he made the sighting.
RUSA Area Manager Nkosinathi Ndaba responded to the call for assistance and on arrival, searched the wardrobe in one (1) of the bedrooms. The large highly venomous snake was spotted moving between the wardrobe and under the bed.
Ndaba captured the reptile and removed it from the home without incident.
