Motorists urged motorists to be prepared for heavy traffic on various roads

As the Easter long weekend kicks off today, motorists should still be prepared for heavy traffic on various roads.

Heavy traffic is expected to resume from this morning and continue into midday on roads leading into the province and around places of worship. The affected roads include the N1 and R101 from Pienaarsrivier to Polokwane, as well as the R71 and D4040 towards Boyne.

Law enforcement officers remain strategically deployed to manage traffic flow and curb violations, including speeding.

‼️Yesterday, a 25-year-old reckless driver of a White Volkswagen hatchback arrested for speeding at 214 km/h in a 120 km/h zone on the N1 near Mokopane. He is scheduled to appear at the Mokopane Magistrate’s Court soon.
