In endeavours to fight crime and bring all the perpetrators thereof to justice in the OR Tambo District, the Tactical Response Team based in Joe Gqabi District with Tsolo detectives successfully arrested four Tsolo wanted male suspects aged between 24 and 48 years on Friday, 25 April 2025 from 17:30, for crimes ranging from business burglary, murder to possession of unlicensed firearms.
In Ngqwala locality, Qolombane A/A, a 36-year-old male suspect wanted for business robbery was found in possession of two unlicensed firearms (erased serial numbers) having ammunition and also suspected to be stolen goods including washing powders, Twinsaver toilet papers etc. More Information obtained led the team to Tsolo CBD where his accomplices in the business burglary being of Mthatha and Tsolo, aged 39 and 48 years old were also arrested, found in possession of suspected to be stolen goods. The team lastly arrested a 24-year-old male murder suspect spotted in town for murder which occurred in April 2025. All four suspects will appear before Tsolo Magistrate Court on Tuesday, 29 April 2025, facing their respective charges.
