On Tuesday 15 April 2025 at around 05:00, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) North Task Team officers, in conjunction with Thembisa South SAPS and Crime Intelligence, arrested a suspect for murder and attempted murder in the Thembisa area.
Following on information on a murder case that occurred at a Tavern in Vusimuzi Section on 30th March 2025, were two(2) victims were shot and killed, and the 3rd victim survived at Thembisa hospital, a Case was opened at the Thembisa South SAPS.
The description of the vehicle that was used in the commission of crime, led Officers to a company in the Bryanston area, where the vehicle was parked in a parking lot. Officers monitored the vehicle until a male approached the vehicle and opened it.
Officers introduced themselves to the suspect and he also confirmed that he is the rightful owner of the motor vehicle. Officers Immediately handcuffed the thirty-two (32) year-old male suspect and was detained at Thembisa South Police station .
The vehicle was taken to Aeroton Police Pound, he will appear in the Thembisa Magistrate court soon.
