The Serious Violent Crime, Murder, and Robbery Unit seeks assistance from the community in tracing the suspects involved in the murder of two shepherds at kraals in Zamdela.
On Wednesday, 23 April 2025, at about 09:00, the Zamdela police received a complaint of a shooting incident at Zamdela kraals near R549. When the members arrived at the scene, they found the two shepherds’ lifeless bodies in two shacks. The two African males, aged between 25 and 35 years, sustained upper body injuries and were declared dead by emergency services. Both deceased individuals are Lesotho nationals.
Further investigation revealed that approximately 23 sheep and 25 goats, valued at R150 000, were stolen.
