Phoenix, KZN, 22 May 2025 A mentally challenged man was left critically injured following a violent home invasion earlier today in the Grove End area of Phoenix. The suspect, believed to be a known robbery suspect from the area, fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of stolen valuables after the attack.
Members of the KZN VIP Emergency Response Team were immediately dispatched following reports of the invasion. Upon arrival, responders found the victim in a critical condition and requested urgent medical assistance. KZN VIP Ambulance Services transported the severely injured man to a nearby medical facility for further treatment.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) has been notified and is currently investigating the matter. No arrests have been made at this time, and authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
