A burglary suspect was arrested by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) as he attempted to flee a property on Wick Street near the Verulam Market in the Verulam CBD – KZN a short while ago (Thursday).
Reaction Officers were dispatched to the break-in in progress at approximately 08:44 after a member of the public witnessed a male enter a property. He was in the process of breaking into the building when Reaction Officers arrived.
The suspect fled, but was pursued by RUSA Members and apprehended a short distance away. House breaking implements were recovered in his possession. CCTV footage confirmed that the male had been targeting the property throughout the week.
The 21 year old from Ndwedwe – KZN was arrested and handed over to the Verulam SAPS.
