At 7.30 am today VEMA Paramedics received multiple calls for a serious head on collision on Inanda Road in the vicinity of Crinkly Bottom.
VEMA along with ER24 EMS (Pty) Ltd. and ALS Paramedics Medical Services immediately dispatched multiple Emergency Vehicles to scene.
Once on scene it was established that multiple patients sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious.
One patient sustained serious injuries and a decision was made to call in Air Mercy Airomedical Helicopter to transport the seriously injured patient to a specialized trauma facility.
The remainder of the patients were transported by various ambulance services to a nearby medical facility for the further care.
Unfortunately one patient sustained serve injuries and there was nothing paramedics could do. The patient was declared deceased on scene.
