A house in Parkgate – KZN caught alight after a candle fell over yesterday afternoon (Thursday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to B Section at approximately 20:43. On arrival, Reaction Officers established that neighbours extinguished the fire.
It was alleged that four (4) children aged between 5 & 8 were alone at home. They were using a candle due to a power outage. The candle flew over and started a fire that rapidly spread through the house. Neighbours rescued the children and extinguished the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
