Four of South Africa’s top musical talents, gourmet street food served fresh from some of South Africa’s favourite food trucks, three thousand tickets and one of Gauteng’s premier festival venues.
It’s all happening at Casalinga, Johannesburg, on Saturday 24 May. But there’s a catch – this is an invitation only event, exclusively for Jetour customers and their friends/ family.
The biggest customer day event that the brand has hosted in Africa to date, Jetour will be bringing customers and some chart-topping local artists together for a celebration to remember.
The event is both a thank you to its loyal customers for their support since the brand’s local launch in September last year, as well as an opportunity for owners to connect.
Zakes Bantwini is a Grammy Award-winning South African artist, producer, and songwriter who will be performing at the Jetour customer day. Renowned for his dynamic fusion of house, Afrobeat, and electronic music, Zakes gained international acclaim with his 2023 Grammy win for Best Global Music Performance for the track “Bayethe”.
The lineup for the day will also include renowned indie rock band The Parlotones. With ten studio albums and numerous accolades, including South African Music Awards, The Parlotones have solidified their status as one of South Africa’s most successful and enduring musical acts over the last 27 years.
Also on stage will be Mi Casa, the popular South African house music trio comprising of vocalist J’Something, trumpeter Mo-T, and producer Dr. Duda. Known for their infectious blend of soulful vocals, jazzy instrumentals, and feel-good tempos, the band’s debut album in 2011 quickly catapulted them to fame, with hits such as These Streets and Heavenly Sent becoming instant favourites across the continent.
South African Pop/R&B singer and songwriter, Shekhinah, will also be performing on the day. As one of South Africa’s most streamed and celebrated contemporary artists, Shekhinah rose to prominence after competing in Seasons 7 and 8 of Idols South Africa.
Following her success on the show, she quickly made her mark on the local music scene with several chart-topping platinum-certified singles and multiple awards, including three South African Music Awards.
As a global SUV brand launched in 2018, Jetour has expanded into over 65 countries, including South Africa, where it currently offers the 5-seater Jetour Dashing and 7-seater Jetour X70 Plus. The brand’s “Travel+” philosophy emphasises the integration of travel, music, lifestyle, and adventure into the driving experience.
This event, which is only open to people aged 18 and over, will enable Gauteng-based Jetour customers and three family members or friends each to attend at no cost, with a diverse selection of bars, beverages, and food trucks, all available for purchase.
Jetour’s commitment to a customer-first approach continues to be a driving force behind its growth in South Africa. Customer days have become regular events on the Jetour calendar, with the brand itself gaining valuable insights into their customers’ experiences. Unlike the smaller, more intimate events held countrywide to date, this customer day on 24 May will see thousands of people gathering to share the music, fun and Jetour brand experience together.
