The SAPS conducted a successful high-density #OperationShanela in Carletonville/Khutsong on Saturday, 10 May 2025. Led by West Rand District Commissioner Major General Lorraine Challen, the operation aimed to enhance safety and enforce the law.
The operation resulted in the arrest of suspects for drunken driving, possession of drugs, and contravention of the Immigration Act at a roadblock on the R500 road in Carletonville. Additionally, a liquor outlet was closed for failing to comply with the Liquor Act. #PoliceVisibility
