On Monday 19 May 2025 at around 07:45, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) North Task Team officers and other stakeholders arrested one (1) suspect for possession of a stolen vehicle in the Ivory Park area.
While conducting crime prevention, they received information from a tracking company about a White Toyota Hilux GD-6, that was stolen during a house breaking in Bethlehem, Free State. The said vehicle was located inside a yard at Gwenya street. Upon arrival, a male was found in action stripping the vehicle. The suspect could not provide the Officers with satisfactory answers, and he was immediately placed under arrest.
The thirty-five(35)-year-old was detained at Ivory park Police Station and a case of possession of stolen vehicle was registered. He will appear at the Thembisa Magistrate’s court soon.
