A driver who ran out of fuel was injured after an unknown vehicle struck his car on the R102 in the vicinity of Canelands – KZN yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
The 33-year-old male and his girlfriend ran out of fuel while travelling on the southbound lane. They were in the process of pushing their white Opel Astra to the side of the road when an unknown vehicle collided into them. The vehicle sped off without stopping.
The driver of the Opel Astra was injured in the collision and transported to a medical facility by Paramedics from the Provincial Ambulance Service.
His girlfriend was unable to provide members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) with details of the vehicle that fled the scene.
