A Biker from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) who was despatched to investigate a suspicious person in Tongaat – Kwazulu Natal found the man in possession of seven (7) replica & toy firearms.
The call for assistance was received on Sunday (22/06/2025) evening from a resident in Chelmsford Hieghts who noticed an unidenfied person behaving suspiciously after a firearm fell off his belt. The Reaction Officer arrived in scene & found the man with three (3) replica firearms on his waist. Four (4) more replica firearms (pictured) were recovered in his bag.
The man could not offer an explanation for having the replica/toy firearms in his possession and appeared to be disturbed. No crime was reported & the man was released.
The replica handguns were handed over to the South African Police Services (SAPS).
