A 36-year-old male suspect was apprehended at Dan Village in the Tzaneen Policing area, for a series of business robbery cases reported at Letsitele, Tzaneen and Ritavi, subsequent to an intelligence driven operation conducted on Tuesday, 17 June 2025.
The SAPS members, including the Tzaneen Tracing Team, upon receiving the information, conducted patrols in Dan Village until the identified suspect was spotted in the area. He was immediately arrested and charged with six cases of business robberies that occurred between September and November 2024.
On Wednesday, 18 June 2025, further Police investigations led to the recovery of one firearm with five live rounds of ammunition pointed out by the suspect at his residence in Bambanana Village under the Letsitele policing area. A charge of possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition was then added to his cases.
The suspect will soon appear before the Tzaneen Regional Court on Thursday, 19 June 2025.
