Swift action by SAPS Wentworth VISPOL members during a vehicle checkpoint along Krishna Rabilal road in Merebank, has led to the speedy arrest of an alleged robbery suspect on the railway line under the Clairwood Logistics bridge.
The female complainant positively identified the suspect as the one who had robbed her of her Samsung Galaxy cellphone at knife point. The suspect, aged 31, was immediately interrogated and he voluntarily pointed at the exact place where the cellphone was hidden.
The suspect is set to appear before the local Magistrate’s Court today.
