A 19 kilogram gas cylinder stolen from a property in Mitchell Village, Tongaat – KZN was recovered by Reaction Officers today (Thursday).
A member of the public contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Tongaat Operations Centre after two (2) males were seen fleeing on Desai Street with the cylinder wrapped in black refuse bags. Reaction Officers patrolled the area and spotted the males on High Street. The suspects dropped the stolen property and fled on foot in different directions.
Officers pursued the thieves, but they managed to evade arrest.
