JMPD officers stopped a minibus taxi at Commissioner & Albrecht Street in Jeppestown & discovered that the driver was in possession of a firearm that he couldn’t account for. The firearm tested positive as per Parkview SAPS (robbed from its lawful owner).
When breatherlized, the driver was found to be over the legal limit of 0,24mg. He was arrested & detained at Jeppe SAPS for possession of an unlicensed firearm, driving under the influence of alcohol etc.
An amount of R5,600 found in his possession was booked into SAPS 13 for further investigation.
Lawlessness will not be tolerated in the City of Johannesburg.
