The astute members netted a 30-year-old suspect on 29 July 2025 in Calcutta after being found in possession of game meat.
During the operation, information was received regarding a person who was in possession of game meat (carcass). The Combat and Proactive team deployed under Vala Umgodi swiftly followed the information, and upon arrival at the said premises, a search was carried out. It was during this time when a game meat was recovered, hence the suspect was apprehended and charged accordingly.
The man is expected to appear at the Masoyi Magistrate’s Court soon.
