Commitment by members of Kirstenhof Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) paid off when they placed themselves on duty following information received that a consignment of drugs was about to enter their precinct via the Ou-Kaapse Weg on Thursday, 10 July 2025.
Kirstenhof CPU members were mobilised and led to a residence situated in Norfolk Park where a known suspect allegedly delivered the consignment of drugs. The members accosted the address in Uithof Street, Kirstenhof in collaboration with a private security company and commenced with a search of the premises leading to the discovery of 1730 ecstasy tablets to the estimated value of about R500 000 in a bag behind a bed.
The members subsequently arrested a 27-year-old man who is scheduled to appear in the Wynberg Magistrates’ court today, Friday 11 July 2025 on charges related to the possession of drugs as well as the possession of counterfeit money.
