The Western Cape police remain dedicated in the fight against counterfeit and illicit goods by ensuring that counterfeit and illicit items are removed from society.
On Wednesday morning 30 July 2025, members of Western Cape Provincial Counterfeit and Illicit Goods Policing Team, Essential Infrastructure Task Team members and DPCI executed a search warrant at a premises in Evolution Crescent, Darwin Park, Durbanville Industrial area. Representatives from Oversheds Sutherland who is a brand protector of Lego games and brand managers were also present during the operation.
The premises were searched Lego games to the value of R1 500 000,00 that are counterfeit were confiscated. No arrests have been made. A case docket was opened at Durbanville SAPS for further investigation.
