Members of Parkroad and Selosesha Tactical Response Teams, while on the multidisciplinary approach Shanela 2, swiftly arrested four suspects following a house robbery incident in Thaba Nchu on Wednesday, 30 July 2025.
At approximately 20:00, operators received information about a house robbery in progress in Zone 3, Thaba Nchu. The suspects were allegedly using a red Polo VW with GP registration numbers.
Officers immediately responded and while en route, the TRT members spotted a vehicle matching the description on Station Road and a chase ensued, concluding near the Civic Centre where the vehicle was tactically stopped.
A thorough search of the vehicle yielded three unlicensed firearms, cable ties, buffs, ropes and beanies, all were confiscated.
The four suspects aged between 38 and 23 years old were arrested and are facing multiple charges, including possession of unlicensed firearms, possession of unlicensed live ammunition and Robbery with a firearm
All four will appear in the Selosesha magistrate court soon and the firearms will be sent for ballistics. Further investigations are underway.
