The Police in Chrissiemeer recovered 14 sheep that were reportedly stolen at a certain farm in Chrissiesmeer on Saturday, 19 July 2025 at about 10:00. The Police are in sought of the suspects.
According to the complainant who is a farmer, in the morning, he often goes to grazing camp to count the sheep. On the said day, while counting, he noticed that 14 sheep were missing and he immediately contacted the Police.
On arrival at the scene, the Police discovered that the fence was cut and they conducted an investigation which led them nearby place, called Warbutorn, which is about 25 kilometres from the said farm. At the said place, members recovered the 14 sheep tied and the estimated value of the livestock is at R35 000.00.
The suspects are still at large and the Police handed over the livestock to the owner. Police are currently in pursuit of the suspects.
