While conducting crime prevention operations in Tembisa, members of the Gauteng Traffic Police High Priority Crimes and Internal Affairs Unit (HPCIAU) with EMPD (CLU) spotted a suspicious Renault Kwid with three occupants driving recklessly.
Officers stopped the vehicle, one suspect fled the scene, while the remaining two were contained. Upon searching the vehicle, officers recovered an unlicensed firearm with the serial number filed off, one magazine, and live rounds of ammunition.
The two suspects were apprehended.
